Heart & Stroke Foundation

I love my job. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—what a privilege it is to meet new people, hear fascinating conversations, and learn something new, all while taking photos!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the honour of photographing an event for the Heart and Stroke Foundation at the Louis Loft. After an insightful talk and panel discussion, guests had the opportunity to dive into hands-on learning about strokes—what they are, how they affect the body, and what recovery can look like.

Researchers had stations set up to showcase the work they’re doing to support stroke survivors. From innovative rehabilitation tools to demonstrations that let attendees experience some of the challenges stroke patients face, the room was full of powerful learning and important conversations.

It was a beautiful reminder of how science, compassion, and community can come together to make a real difference.
