Farm Visit photo session

I absolutely love when families come out to visit me for their photo sessions. It feels less like a shoot and more like a hang out where I am just taking photos periodically lol

After we wander through the treed area and capture all those in-between moments, we usually end the session with a little farm visit — meeting the sheep and cows, holding baby kittens, and passing around chickens. It’s always a favourite part, especially for the kids.

I’ve known this family for almost 15 years. We had our babies around the same times both times — even sharing a midwife — and we used to joke about making sure we didn’t deliver on the same day (thankfully, it all worked out!). Now our kids are growing up together, right in those teenage years that somehow arrived overnight.

It was so lovely to catch up, laugh, and hand them a chicken to hold — the perfect way to wrap up time with people who feel more like family than clients
