Locke’s Smash

Picking a theme for a cake smash is one of my favourite things to do.. especially when I get to help design whole look.. This mama mentioned space theme…. so we came up with a plan.. I went to Mills & Sun for the adorable planet backdrop pieces…& to PickNiks Catering for the cake.. two lovely local places to support 🙂

During a smash session I always love taking photos of the family first.. especially if there are older siblings..

Then for the smash!  you just never know if the birthday boy or girl will just smash it or not be interested in it at all..

Then to follow the smash, a BUBBLE bath! its always a hit

I Love love love newborn sessions.. especially when it involves an adorable big sister who LOVEs the camera..

I always pre warn clients with small kidless to go in with REALLY low expectations.. you just never know how the child will enjoy the session and if they feel pressure to perform.. so when there’s no pressure, Voila! you get awesome photos.. and even the crying photos are good.. Here are a few of my favourites from the session
