Newborn Session with Watson

This was my first newbie of the 2020 year!!

Such a handsome little man and such a pleasure to photograph.. Meet Watson & his family.

 I first met Rhian from instagram.. we live in such a small city, if you have a small business,  it is almost hard not to know everyone..

I formally met Rhian at a Buttercream Business retreat in 2019 (which was an awesome business retreat!).

Rhian, not only just had a new baby..

She also just graduated university and is now a teacher.. & also has a successful teether company and sells the most adorable teethers and souther clips!

Gabriel Dumont 40th Anniversary

I was thrilled to be asked to photographed this event.  Gabriel Dumont 40th Anniversary

It signifies 40 years of Métis culture education through programs & services at the GDI.  It was wonderful to watch everyone dressed in their traditional Métis regalia and receive their well deserved awards.  I left feeling the strong sense of the community spirit & strength.     Here are some photos from the evening

Candle Lake Wedding

I met Kelsey last year on a wintery evening at the Drift Cafe to talk about wedding plans.  Her sister had recommended me and I was thrilled to take their wedding photos!.  She had me at ‘beach wedding’!.  and it did not disappoint.  The couple got married on the beach at Candle Lake this past July.  After getting ready, first looks and some wedding party photos, we drove into the ceremony at the beach on a super stylish speed boat!  It was an unforgettable entrance.

Their reception took place at the Candle Lake Golf Course, which made for an awesome party as well as an amazing spot for sunset photos!

 

Congratulations again to Shayne & Kelsey!!!, It was an absolute pleasure for me to photograph this beautiful wedding day

Irving Roth – Holocaust Survivor

What an incredible evening.

On September 17th, 2019 I had the pleasure of photographing Irving Roths account of the Holocaust and his time he spent in Auschwitz.  The room was filled with 1500 people, and the chilling tale left us all wondering how ever did he manage to survive?.  His story is nothing short of miracle after miracle.  One of my favourite things he said was that he didn’t believe in miracles, he depended on them.  They allowed him to get to this very place he is today.  He left the stage with a standing ovation.
