I had the absolute honour of photographing an incredible Métis event that celebrated early learning, culture, and connection. The entire day was filled with learning, laughter and so many beautiful moments that made me feel deeply rooted in my community.

From meaningful conversations about the future of Métis education to the joy of watching Red River carts being built by hand, every part of this event was powerful. There was singing, jigging, storytelling, and even a kitchen party that brought everyone together in the best way.

There was also a Métis market (so many amazing artisans!), oh and the generous grab bags (including the cutest bannock pillow!)

I walked away feeling deep sense of Metis pride. I feel so grateful to have been part of it, camera in hand and heart full. 💛✨
